Shipping policy

Shipping

Wooden Ink ships original hand-pulled prints across Canada, to the United States and internationally.

Processing times

Some Wooden Ink prints are already hand-pulled and ready to find a home. Others are pulled from the original tree slab after your order is placed.

If your print is already available, it will typically ship within 48 hours. If I need to pull a new impression for your order, please allow approximately 7 days for me to create, dry, sign and carefully prepare it for shipping.

If you're ordering for a birthday, anniversary or other date-specific occasion, please contact me at hello@woodenink.ca before ordering if timing is important. I'll let you know what's realistically possible.

Packaging

Wooden Ink prints are shipped unframed on their full sheet of paper and carefully rolled for shipping.

Your print is protected with protective tissue and packed inside a sturdy shipping tube designed to keep the artwork safe while in transit. Your companion Tree Story Card and Species Card are included with your order.

When your print arrives, carefully remove it from the tube and allow it some time to relax and flatten naturally before framing. Avoid folding, creasing or attempting to flatten the paper using heat or moisture.

Shipping rates and delivery times

Shipping options and costs are calculated based on your destination and will be displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

Shipping times vary depending on your location and the shipping service selected at checkout. Where tracking is available, you'll receive tracking information after your order has shipped.

Please remember that shipping time is in addition to preparation time. Delivery estimates provided by the carrier are estimates rather than guarantees. Weather, customs processing and other carrier delays can occasionally affect delivery times after your print has left the studio.

International orders, duties and taxes

Wooden Ink ships internationally. For orders travelling outside Canada, customs duties, import taxes, tariffs, brokerage fees or other charges may apply when your package enters your country.

These charges are determined by your destination country and, in some cases, the shipping carrier. They are not included in your Wooden Ink order or shipping cost and are the responsibility of the buyer, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Because import requirements and fees vary by country and can change, I recommend checking with your local customs authority before ordering if you have questions about potential additional costs.

Shipping addresses

Please make sure the shipping address you provide at checkout is complete and accurate.

If you notice an error after placing your order, contact me at hello@woodenink.ca as soon as possible. Once a package has been handed over to the carrier, I can't guarantee that I'll be able to change or redirect the delivery.

Damaged orders

I take great care in packing every Wooden Ink print, but occasionally things can go wrong in transit.

If your print arrives damaged, please contact me at hello@woodenink.ca within 7 days of delivery and include photographs of the damage, the shipping tube and the packaging it arrived in. Please keep the original packaging until we've resolved the issue, as the shipping carrier may require it for a claim.

I'll work with you to make it right. Depending on the circumstances and the particular print, that may mean a replacement print, another appropriate resolution, or a refund if a replacement isn't possible.

Because every Wooden Ink print is an original hand-pulled impression, a replacement will never be identical to the damaged print — but it will be pulled from the same tree in the same interpretation wherever possible.

Lost or missing packages

If your package appears to be lost in transit, please contact me at hello@woodenink.ca and I'll work with the shipping carrier to determine what happened and what options are available.

If tracking shows your package as delivered but you can't locate it, please first check around your property, with other members of your household, and with neighbours or building staff who may have accepted it on your behalf. Carriers may also occasionally mark a package as delivered shortly before it actually arrives.

If it still hasn't turned up, contact me and we'll take the appropriate next steps with the carrier.
